After a couple of "tippy" night voyages, we decided to fit lee-cloths to the two berths in the main cabin.
It remains to be seen whether they would keep an adult off the cabin sole in a knockdown, nevertheless, psychologically they are wonderful
We chose this open mesh to ensure good ventilation - it is rare that the cabin is below 30C (85ºF) in the Med during the summer.
We have used cylindrical stainless steel bar to spread the loads on the top and a flat brass bar on the bottom. The brass bar is screwed down on to the hidden side of the bunk base such that it does not hinder access to the valuable storage space under the bunk.
The cloths store nicely, out of sight under the berth cushions when not in use.
